So a rule of thumb is: If you install the Intel MEI (Management Engine Interface) Driver, you will get HD audio bitstreaming with every player supporting HD audio bitstreaming. If you don't install the driver, you won't. Here is a summary of HD audio bitstreaming capability:
MEI Driver installed
MEI Driver NOT installed
TMT3
Yes
No
TMT3 + ReClock
Yes
Yes
PowerDVD 9/10

WinDVD 2010 Pro

Here is a problem: You can't install the Intel MEI driver in every H55/H57 motherboard!
The motherboard you CAN install the Intel MEI Driver in without problem:
ASUS
GIGABYTE
Intel
MSI
Zotac
The motherboard you CANNOT install the Intel MEI Driver in with the error message "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install the software". These motherboards may (or may not) be suffering from a fundamental design flaw and you'd better avoid them if HD audio bitstreaming with TMT/PowerDVD is one of your goals.
