Intel i3+H55源码输出经验分享

我的htpc配置是:
Intel i3 530 + Giga h55m-s2h, 功放 先锋 LX72

一开始mpc+ffdshow和tmt3 170都无法源码输出, ffdshow只输出核心的DTS和AC3, TMT3软件显示输出hd bitstream, 不过功放无声, 如果tmt设置pcm混音, 则功放爆音. 搜索了silu所有关于源码的帖子, 发现基本上是ATI 5系的. 唯一一个关于i3源码输出的贴子建议 hdmi播放设置输出格式16bit, 48KHz, 结果问题依旧. 于是到avsforum上找了一下, 发现一些重要信息, 总结如下:

1. H55/H57主板要安装intel的MEI驱动, 否则tmt/pd无法源码输出, windvd/ffdshow则不受影响.
2. 有的主板无法安装该驱动, 华擎等
3. 不装MEI, 可以装一个reclock的软件, 可以解决tmt的源码输出。

于是装上MEI, 果然TMT3顺利输出 DTSHD, DBtrueHD，非常简单。

后来发现mpc+ffdshow无法源码是mpc版本太旧，下载最新版本后也顺利输出源码。

So a rule of thumb is: If you install the Intel MEI (Management Engine Interface) Driver, you will get HD audio bitstreaming with every player supporting HD audio bitstreaming. If you don't install the driver, you won't. Here is a summary of HD audio bitstreaming capability:

Here is a problem: You can't install the Intel MEI driver in every H55/H57 motherboard!

• The motherboard you CAN install the Intel MEI Driver in without problem:
  • ASUS
  • GIGABYTE
  • Intel
  • MSI
  • Zotac
• The motherboard you CANNOT install the Intel MEI Driver in with the error message "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install the software". These motherboards may (or may not) be suffering from a fundamental design flaw and you'd better avoid them if HD audio bitstreaming with TMT/PowerDVD is one of your goals.
