This time the punishment privilege goes to someone you most likely will already know, mikemyers has taken the pledge and is now wearing the robes and wizard hat of a Moderator. Mike has been with us for some time now as a releaser for HiFi, first as a remuxer and later as an encoder with a special eye for detail. We expect no less as we allow him a hand in behind the controls.

s3k7i0n8, one of our long-time de[42] encoders, has decided to retire and step down from releasing. We hope to still see him around and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

We have made some changes to how users should connect to site irc channels, this should make it easier to get to the channels which you want to get into. If you go to your profile and edit your settings you should see a list of channels that are available for your user class, here you can select which channels you wish to join and the bot will automatically join you to these channels when you identify. The command for identifying with the bot can be found under the list of irc channels.

The old method of joining channels will remain for the time being as well

First off sorry that this isn't going to be one of those nice news threads. Due to an increased number of attempted logins by botnets we have made the decision to integrate reCAPTCHA into the login process. Now for the good news this will only happen during attacks so hopefully most of the time you won't see it.

Again, apologies for this but this is for the good of us all.
