After some investigating we found that a lot of Chinese members have been using a cheating client named Xunlei to fool the ratio system. We decided to ban all the members that have been actively using this (none of them showed any sign of participating in the community either).
To all current members be aware of this: If you are using a cheating client and we find out you can and will be banned from the site. So check your own stats to see if they match what you are downloading. Also 1.0 ratios (which is what the cheating clients tend to give you) are considered suspect. Although of course we do look for more evidence than just that. Next to Xunlei we also found that bitcomet was used for cheating.
From now on we consider those clients banned.
Use a different client like Utorrent for example.
Maximun number of active torrents
Than we wanted to repeat on a topic that alot of people still tend to ask about:
Alot of people have been asking for in increase in the number of torrents you can activate at the same time, this is not something we can do right now.
The limit is there to make sure the server doesn't get overloaded from the torrent updates. As you've seen recently, this website cannot even handle all the traffic that happens inmediately after the latest F1 race, let alone torrent updates from all the torrents that are posted over a longer period of time.
This does not mean you should stop seeding, the limit is high enough for you to seed the torrents you get completely and still download the next race at the same time. But you will be required to manage which torrents you seed once they get a bit older.
Website's been going for more than 7 years!
Than last but not least we'd like to thank all the members for still uploading plenty of torrents every week and keeping the site as alive as ever.
This website has been one of the longest lasting motorsport torrent in its current form and we can only thank our members for that. Next to that we'd also like to thank the people that help out in the forums and with other staff related issues.
