HDME维护

Hello,

As lately we all have been noticing a lot of MySQL server errors while browsing the site. Often there have been some small downtime's too due to server loads spiking or too many SQL connections. Well without getting into too much technicals here i just want to let you guys know we have scheduled a server re-install which is about to start tomorrow (thursday) at about 4:00AM GMT. This had to be done ASAP to avoid any further downtime's and damage to the Database.

With this being said we are also getting some server upgrade and hardening done so the server functions better in the future. There will certainly be some downtime while the re-install goes on and we then restore the backup of the server and database. We expect this to last around 6-8hrs at the max, however due to un-for scene circumstances it might last a bit longer, however every attempt will be made to make this minimal.

Now, if the re-install does not fix the problems we'd have no other choice but to upgrade the site server since this is almost a 3yr+ old server, and as we all know the site has grow a lot recently and this server just might not be able to handle the loads.

I would also like to let you know, the IP address of the site might be changing too, this was just bought to our notice by the DataCenter since they need to return the block of IP's we were assigned to RIPE. Hence, a fresh IP would be allocated to us for HDME. As soon as we receive this i will update you. We will be updating the site DNS to point to the new IP as soon as we have it to minimize the downtime any further.

Once again i apologize for such a short notice. We are working hard to make HDME a even better place for you guys
To avoid any loss of data we will be disabling torrents uploading to the site in some time while we take the required backup's. We also request you to avoid using the forums (atleast for posting new posts/threads) to avoid loss while data move. You can go ahead and post in this thread since some of the post might be lost here.
