PTP : rules update for Dolby Vision and HDR10All DoVi/HDR content must be uploaded in MKV, we will no longer be accepting anything in MP4.
Remuxes:
listAny newly uploaded DoVi UHD BDs must be remuxed with the DoVi layer intact. HDR10-only remuxes from DoVi sources are not allowed anymore.
listPreviously uploaded HDR10-only remuxes from DoVi sources will stay.
listIf DoVi MP4 remux already exists, DoVi MKV remux is not allowed, however, those MP4 remuxes can be trumped by others sourced from UHDs with Dolby Atmos. (Many MP4 remuxes were done with DTS-HD because TrueHD isn't supported with MP4).
listNo new MP4 remuxes allowed at all.
listHybrid DoVi (BD+WEB) is currently not allowed.
Encodes:
listAny new HDR10-only encodes from DoVi sources can be trumped by encodes with DoVi/HDR.
listFEL sources must be properly encoded. FEL reconstruction method (documented by Narkyy on HDB) has to be used. Narkyy's script is in Vapoursynth, DoviBaker plugin exists for AviSynth which can do this as well.
listFor 1080p encodes, HDR10-only and DoVi with HDR10 fallback occupy the same slot. When an HDR10-only encode already exists, a 1080p DoVi encode may only trump it if the HDR10 video quality is superior (provide tonemapped comparisons).
listFor 2160p encodes, since there are two slots, if two HDR10-only encodes already exist, one of them can be trumped with a DoVi encode.
listHybrid DoVi is currently not allowed.
WEB-DL:
listFor new uploads, HDR10-only will be trumped by a hybrid HDR10+DoVi, provided they are from the same WEB source and have similar video bitrate. If different sources proof must be provided showing that both WEB-DLs have the same color grade and framing.
listProfile 5 DoVi will be allowed to have it’s own slot.
listNo new MP4s allowed.
