【BitAddict】An era of Finnish p2p's history has come to an end
Rakkaat ystävät, uskolliset käyttäjät ja uskottomat vaimot.Eräs aikakausi Suomalaisen p2p:n historiassa on tullut päätökseensä. Viiden vuoden ajan Suomen torrent-maailmaa on hallinnut yksi ja sama yhteisö. Suomalaisella torrent-scenellä on ollut yksi palvonnan kohde, yksi Jumala.
Sanat eivät riitä kuvaamaan sitä tunnetta, joka meillä jokaisella on BitAddictia kohtaan. BA on monelle meistä kuin oma lapsi ja siksi luopuminen ruopiikin sielujamme. Kaikella on kuitenkin aikansa ja paikkansa. Samalla kun rekisteröinnin vaativien trackereiden aikakausi alkaa olemaan lopussa, on aika jättää BitAddictin taaksemme. Nämä vuodet BitAddict on tarjonnut Suomalaisille mahdollisuuden tutustua niin elokuvien, musiikin kuin monen muunkin genren tarjontaan tavalla, johon kaupallinen koneisto ei pysty vieläkään.
Jo pidemmän aikaa ylläpidon kiinnostuskiikarit ovat olleet suunnattuna uusille merille ja uudet projektit ovat syöneet niin aikaa kuin sitoutumistakin. Emme voi sanoa, että BitAddictista olisi tullut taakka, mutta eräällä tavalla se on jo pitempään ottanut enemmän kuin antanut. Viimeisen niitin päätökselle ovat antaneet lähiaikoina olleet vaikeudet palvelun ylläpidon saralla, joiden takia työmäärä on kasvanut tasolle, joka ei ole ollut enää mielekästä.
Epätoivoon ei kuitenkaan ole syytä vaan nyt jos koskaan kannattaa olla kuulolla, sillä ylläpidon korviin on kantautunut huhu, että Suomessa tullaan näkemään jotain ennennäkemätöntä Suomalaisen torrent-scenen saralla.
Näillä sanoilla haluamme kiittää kaikkia menneistä vuosista.
