The first movie club film will be Miller's Crossing.
We'll be watching at 8pm BST (UK) / 9pm CEST (west europe) in #hdbits.film. We hope to see you there.

The film we've chosen for sunday is Miller's Crossing: a prohibition era gangster movie by the Coen brothers.

We'll be watching the film at 8pm BST (UK)/ 9pm CEST (west europe) this sunday and meeting on IRC afterwards in #hdbits.film to discuss it. We hope many of you will attend as it should be good fun and even if you don't we hope you enjoy the film.
There will also be a thread in this forum for everyone else to discuss the film.
The theme for next time will be 'uplifting movies', which we'll start gathering suggestions for some time next week.
Because we had so many suggestions and two weeks is a long time to last with only one film we chose two others that people might want to watch:
A prophet - IMDB - HDBits
A young Arab man is sent to a French prison where he becomes a mafia kingpin.
This was actually joint first choice and only lost because it's a french language film.
The usual suspects - IMDB - HDBits
A boat has been destroyed, criminals are dead, and the key to this mystery lies with the only survivor and his twisted, convoluted story beginning with five career crooks in a seemingly random police lineup.
